Sri Lanka's official ETA site says that, from 25 May 2026, nationals of 40 listed countries can get a tourist visa (ETA) free of charge for 30 days. Pakistan is on that list.

Free 30-day tourist ETA
Apply online at the official ETA site. The notice says the free tourist visa is valid for 30 days, with double entry allowed from the date of first arrival within those 30 days.
Visa extension
To stay longer than 30 days, you may apply for an extension and pay the applicable visa fee.

Częste powody odmowy
Large sums that appear just before applying, with no clear source.
The officer is not convinced you will return home.
Dates, jobs or amounts that do not match across documents.
No clear reason or plan for the trip.
Check the fee before you pay
The Department of Immigration's older fee table still shows paid tourist fees and does not mention the free scheme. The ETA site's notice of 25 May 2026 is the newer one. Always confirm on the official ETA site before you apply. ETA fees paid before 25 May 2026 are not refundable.
